Knowing from measured data of the units that the cooling capacity, heating capacity, input power, COP and other parameters are associated with the ambient temperature, analyzes the effect of the outdoor sunk room size to the heat pump unit by studying the ambient temperature and then to the inlet air temperature of the unit. Establishes the CFD model according to the actual size, and analyzes the influence of room size on the unit heat release with twelve examples. The results show that the larger the distance between the air inlet side and the wall the more advantageous, while the amplitude of the advantage gonging smaller, therefore taking 3 m to 5 m as the setting value is appropriate; the smaller the room depth the more favorable, suggesting that the minimum depth can be set as the heat pump unit installation limit.
